Glen Ackerman, President

Glen Ackerman is CEO at inhouseIT, a founding board member and President of TACA’s Board. Glen has been involved in the IT services business for the past 24 years. For 18 years, he was CEO of Integration Technologies (ITI). ITI was one of the most successful IT technology companies servicing the mid market in Southern California. As a software development organization, ITI provided site intelligence applications to many of the most recognized business leaders in the retail, restaurant and real estate markets.Glen and his wife Lisa formed TACA in 2000. Glen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
 

Lisa Ackerman, Founder & Secretary

A native of California, Lisa has worked in the retail and real estate site selection for almost 20 years. Lisa was a co-founder of Integration Technologies and AnySite Software which was sold to MapInfo Corporation in 2003. Working with customers like Wal-Mart, Burger King and Shell Oil, Lisa has consulted and sold large solutions for planning and managing the site selection process.In March 2004, Lisa retired from her real estate career to assume a full-time volunteer role as Executive Director for TACA.  Lisa transitioned from volunteer to a full time professional capacity in July, 2008.
 

Dan Carney, Board Member

Dan Carney has been a member of Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) since inception. He is an advocate for families affected by autism.Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in economics for the University of Southern California and he earned his MBA from Woodbury University. After graduation he worked for E.F. Hutton, Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney. He is the founder and President of Carney Portfolio Management, an investment advisory firm. In 1998, Dan Carney and Max Carney founded Midwest Insurance an insurance company that provides worker’s compensation for businesses and other institutions.Dan serves on the Finance Committee and the Gifts and Trust Committee for the Newport Center Methodist Church. He actively supports and coaches the Challenger Baseball and Challenger Flag Football teams. He resides in Newport Beach with his wife Vicki and their two children Michael and Aspen.
 

Chad Fitzsimmons, Board Member

Chad is currently the Marketing Director for 93.1 JACK FM, owned and operated by CBS RADIO.  Before moving to Los Angeles in 2005 to launch JACK FM, Chad worked for CBS RADIO in Charlotte, NC for 3 years. Alongside his responsibilities for 93.1 JACK FM, Chad also serves in the same capacity as Marketing Director for 97.1 AMP RADIO, also based out of Los Angeles.In August of 2005, JACK FM adopted TACA as the beneficiary for JACK’s First Show.  Five years later, Chad and the JACK FM team continue to partner with TACA on various events, awareness programs, and fundraising campaigns.Chad graduated from Winona State University in 1999.  He now lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife Angie.
 

Patrick McIlvain, Board Member

Patrick, or “Pat Mac,” presently serves as Vice President of Sports Marketing for Oakley, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of casual and performance eyewear, apparel, shoes and watches. During the course of Patrick’s 15-year tenure with Oakley Sports Marketing, he has helped guide and grow the brand from a $200 million dollar company to a billion dollar brand annually. In his present role, he is responsible for all athlete endorsement, event sponsorships and brand engagement within all sports globally.Patrick is also currently President of 1242 Productions, a production company under Oakley, Inc., responsible for production and distribution of action sports videos, and previously, was Director of Operations at US Events, Inc., responsible for event production and promotion of triathlon, biathlon, snowboard, cycling and mountain bike races.From 1989 to 1994, Patrick was a successful professional mountain bike racer based out of Vail, Colorado. He now resides in San Clemente, California with his wife and 10-year-old child with ASD.
