TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world.
Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and DVDs/CDs that can be checked out by members at no charge.

| Ann Rigby, Director of the Neuroconnection, will speak on the benefits of neurofeeback with autism. Connectivity Guided Neurofeedback is an empirically based, advanced type of neurofeedback developed by Robert Coben, PhD shown to significantly reduce autism symptoms in clinical studies. Using this neurofeedback method in her clinic, Ann Rigby will discuss how brain maps have improved and symptoms of autism have decreased an average of 56% in those completing neurofeedback training at The Neuroconnection Clinic. Ms. Rigby will also review how Connectivity Guided Neurofeedback can make changes in seizure frequency and intensity in Autism cases, improving functioning in the areas of cognition, attention, communication and social pragmatics. The latest findings of the long-term effects of Neurofeedback with children will also be discussed. | |
| Ann L. Rigby is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years in the mental health field, working with children to adults, families, and couples. She has specialized training in the areas of Attention Deficit Disorders, Autism, PTSD, and Mood Disorders. Ms. Rigby earned her MSW at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to entering private practice in 1997, she worked in hospitals and outpatient settings and held supervisory positions within them. Ms. Rigby is a field placement instructor for graduate students.
She is board certified in EEG biofeedback (BCN) through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of American. She earned a two-year postgraduate certification in Family Therapy and is certified by the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). Ms. Rigby is on the board of the Autism Society of Illinois. She is a member of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR), the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). |
