TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and tapes that can be checked out by members at no charge.

Language as Behavior: Opening the door to Communication through daily life experiences Sharon is a Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist, Certified by the American Speech, Hearing & Language Association. With a private practice in Tarzana and Calabasas, Sharon provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages living with communication challenges. Her Clinical Expertise includes, but is not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder; Early Childhood Language Disorders; developmental speech delays; Stroke; Head Trauma; Apraxia; Aphasia; Dysphagia; Limited/non-verbal communication intervention; Augmentative Communciation evaluations; Language/Learning disorders; Language-based reading problems; voice and rhythm disorders.Through her academic continuum, Sharon also earned her teaching degree in Regular and Special Education kindergarten through twelfth grade. Direct service extension is coupled with consulting, workshops, and conference presentation services to associated professional fields and groups. With an eclectic academic and clinic background, Sharon is constantly open to new ideas and techniques to benefit the communicative development of her clients. |
